Adventures in Libraryland: Heat got you down? It's cool in the library

Wednesday, June 24, 2009
As we enter July with all its celebrations (and heat), keep in mind that there's a cool place to come and have fun with your kids.

Our next summer reading event takes place on Thursday, July 2, at 7 p.m.

JoHo, Storyteller, will present "Poetry In Motion" -- words and stories set to rhythmic and rhyming action. Having fun with rhyming words helps develop early literacy skills. We hope to see you there!

All you aspiring stars and American Idol lovers -- have we got an event for you! Gabriel Farago of Gabriel Music Group will be stopping in Marshall to present "Secrets to Success in Country Music."

You'll want to be at the library on Tuesday, July 7, at 7 p.m.

The theme for next week's storytimes is BUGS. Join us for the following storytimes: Wee Ones Lapsit on Wednesdays at 10:45 am; Storytime Super on Thursday at 5:30 pm; Family Readaloud on Thursdays at 5:30 pm.

As a point of reference, the Wee Ones Lapsit is for babies from birth to 3 years old, Storytime Super is for preschool aged children and Family Read Aloud is for children in grade three and up.
