Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen estimate for fire department building grant

Tuesday, June 23, 2009
The Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen discussed a grant for a fire department building at a special meeting Monday afternoon, June 22.

The board heard of a proposal from Robert Rollings Architects LLC regarding the fire department building. The company offered to perform a cost estimate of the building's construction for purposes of a grant application, according to unofficial minutes. The company offered to provide this service for $2,000. This amount would be figured into the grant if the city receives it, but if it does not, the city will still be liable for the amount.

The board voted to have Robert Rollings Architects LLC perform the cost estimate for the fire department building grant.

Mayor Ray Kinney also appointed Betty Forbes to the I-70 Hospital Foundation Board during the meeting.
