The 40-hour course, designed to train law enforcement officials to instruct other law enforcement personnel and trainees in law enforcement techniques, was held between June 8 and June 20 at the training center. Assistant Police Chief David Roscher guest-lectured on the first day of the class.
The course's content included information about the role of the instructor, principles of learning, methods of instruction, public speaking, construction of lesson plans, legal issues of training, training aids, test construction, evaluation of instructors and practical teaching exercises, according to a press release.
This course was the 13th presented at the center after its doors opened for training in 2008.
The next courses that will be held at the center will be the three-part "Homicide Crime Scene Investigation," held Sunday, July 28; Tuesday, Aug. 18; and Tuesday, Oct. 20. The course in firearm safety instruction will be held Saturday, Sept. 19.
Any licensed peace officer is welcome to attend courses at the training center, and those interested should contact Simmerman at 660-886-5512 or at jsimmerm@leo.gov.

LAMR,
Do you ever notice that when a legal question comes up about the Sheriff, County Government, or any Elected Official, this paper doesn't do any further investigation about the legality of the situation???
I don't believe it's legal to operate a private company out of a public building under any circumstance. Maybe this Paper should inquire with the Missouri Attorney Generals Office and ask them about the legality??
So is Mr. Simmerman an employee of the county or is Creative Management Consultants a private business being operated out of a tax payer funded facility?

Local officers have free access to his courses as part of the arrangement.
Who's instructing the instructors???.....what's up folks!!!!!
