Lorine Weber Miller, 87, of Marshall, died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall, with Rev. Douglas A. Dubisar officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or American Heart Association in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born May 9, 1922, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late George Louis Weber and Clara Ruth Chevalier Weber. She was a 1940 graduate of Marshall High School, where she was a member of National Honor Society. She attended Missouri Valley College and University of Missouri-Columbia. On Oct. 3, 1940, she married Joseph William "Bill" Miller, who preceded her in death on May 31, 2000. She taught school at Maple Grove, was a bookkeeper at Montgomery Ward and was a homemaker. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, its Quilters Group, Marshall Junction card group, Who's Who American Association of Farmer's Business Women and a charter member of Saline County Pachyderm Club.
Survivors include one son, Glenn W. Miller and his wife, Jan, of Marshall; two grandsons, Glenn Miller II and his wife, Edie, and Spencer Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Mae West and Ruby Clemens; and one brother, George W. "Bud" Weber.
