Three Lady Chiefs named to all-conference team

The Santa Fe softball team had three members selected to the all-I-70 Conference Tournament team.

Making the list for the Lady Chiefs were senior pitcher Chelsea Gieselman (above), senior designated hitter Kate Peters and junior shortstop Lauren Aversman. Santa Fe (9-7) reached the tourney finals for the seventh time in the nine years it has been played, falling to St. Paul, 12-0, for its first second place finish.

Sweet Springs, which beat Wellington-Napoleon, 9-1, for third place, had two players selected: junior outfielder Niki Hall and freshman outfielder Brittany Higgins.
