The hotel's general manager Gracie Bouws accepted the award from Chamber President Dale Zank.
"This is a great year for us," Bouws said. "We'll do our best to keep you proud of the Comfort Inn."
Zank said of the hotel, "This business has been a hometown favorite since it opened."
This year, Comfort Inn Marshall Station has already been named the top suburban Comfort Inn in the nation, as well as receiving its third "platinum hotel" award.
Jene Crook, who is a CPA at Moore Horton and Carlson, was named 2009 citizen of the year. She was not present to receive the honor because, as a Lions Club district governor, she had an out-of-town conflict, Zank said.
Zank also announced the new Chamber of Commerce officers for 2009-2010.
Stan Moore will continue as treasurer, Julie Lewis will be secretary, George Brown will be vice president and Ron Duvall is the new president.
"The ball is rolling, so let's just keep it rolling," Duvall said in his short closing remarks.
