M.T. Wade Jr., 70, of Tipton, formerly of Saline County, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born Jan. 20, 1939, in Saline County, he was the son of the late Marvin Thomas Wade and Mary Lucille Duncan Wade. He was a 1956 graduate of Marshall High School. He retired in 2001 as a custodian at ADCO in Sedalia and had also driven a school bus for Marshall and Malta Bend schools for several years, as well as owning and operating Moonlight Café. He had lived in Tipton the last several years, previously living in Sedalia and Marshall. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Sedalia and First Christian Church in Marshall.
Survivors include one son, Tom Wade and his wife, Lynn, of Raymore; three grandchildren, Laurie Posten of Lee's Summit, Eric Wade of Nevada and Tony Wade of Raymore; one sister, Rosamae Bentley and her husband, Lloyd, of rural Marshall; two nephews, Charles Bentley of Columbia and David Bentley of Marshall; and one niece, Mary Kay Clanton of Houston, Texas.
