Amanda Carmack, 14, is the daughter of Katy Meyer and Maurice Carmack, both of Malta Bend.
She is a student at Malta Bend R-V School and a member of Work-to-Win 4-H.
She has been involved in 4-H, volleyball, basketball, track, cheerleading, church book club, debate and forensics, student council, discipline committee, Foods and More Club, academic team, math team, caring kids, pottery class and was a teacher's aide for summer school.
Her honors include first place in the 2006 Saline County Barbeque Talent Contest, first place in the 2008 Saline County Barbeque Talent Contest, grand champion in Fashion Review, reserve grand champion in Fashion Review, champion in public speaking, 2006 Cover Miss Pre-Teen Queen, third place in the Apple Jubilee Talent Contest, second place in the Slater Fall Festival talent contest, Top 30 in the 2006 National American Miss Pageant, Top 30 in the 2007 National American Miss Pageant, first place in group math problem solving , 4-H president 2008-2009, A Honor Roll, 4-H secretary 2007-2008, class president 2008-2009 and class secretary 2007-2008.
Hobbies include reading, singing, sports, photography, pottery, public speaking, plays, musicals and pageants.

Cierra Jean Clevenger, 15, is the daughter of Billie and Michael Clevenger of Sweet Springs.
She is a student at Sweet Springs R-7 High School and a member of Sweet Springs R-7 FFA.
She has been involved in FFA, FBLA and was FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) historian for 2008-2009 and will be treasurer for 2009-2010. She was on the student council for two years, played volleyball and softball in high school and plays summer league softball. She has helped with Sweet Springs Fire Department fundraisers and youth football in Sweet Springs. She walked in the Relay For Life in summer, and has been in Liberty 4-H and Girl Scouts. She did judging contest for FFA.
Her honors include National Junior Honor Society, High Honor Roll, Honor Roll and top seller in FBLA.
She lettered in FCCLA and FFA and received a silver metal Star Events in Warrensburg for FCCLA. She also received awards in Spanish, math, art and history classes. Her pigs placed in Jackpot Shows, Saline County and Missouri State Fair. She also has an award for student council.
Her hobbies include playing softball; showing pigs at Jackpot Shows, Saline County Fair and Missouri State Fair; watch TV; and reading books (especially on vampires). She loves to play Rock Band and SingStar, as well as hang out with friends and her dog, Coda.

Abby Renee Elson, 16, is the daughter of Anita and Mendell Elson of Miami.
She attends Marshall High School and is a member of Marshall FFA.
She has been junior officer secretary for FFA and is currently serving as senior president. She is also the reporter for the Area 6 officer team. School activities include Dance Force, FTA and the A+ Program. She volunteers for the Miami Lions Club and serves as vice president in the Friends of Miami organization.
She has received honors in the FFA organization, including Star Greenhand Award, Chapter Scholar Award, Chapter Leadership Award, Floriculture Agricultural Proficiency Award in Entrepreneurship, Top 10 in Fruit Sales, a Group II rating at state contest in the Floriculture Career Development Event and was the top-scoring sophomore in points for FFA activities. In school, she is on the A Honor Roll and has received the Marshall Chamber of Commerce Academic Excellence Award for the past two years.
Her hobbies are FFA organization, four-wheeling, going to rodeos, hanging out with friends, spending time with family, working with animals, dancing, reading and being outdoors.

Kelsey Danielle Forqueran, 16, is the daughter of Doreena and Jamie Forqueran of Malta Bend.
She attends Malta Bend High School and is a member of Union 4-H Club and Malta Bend FFA.
She is involved in Union Baptist Youth Group, FFA, National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Malta Bend Talking Tigers Debate and Forensics Team, varsity basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, track and 4-H.
Honors include A Honor Roll, 2008-2009 Malta Bend FFA secretary, 2009-2010 Malta Bend FFA president, 2009-2010 Area 6 FFA vice president, third place in State FFA Division II public speaking, second place in State FFA Division I public speaking, Chapter Star Greenhand and Chapter Star Farmer, 2008-2009 FFA top member, 2008-2009 FFA top fundraiser, two year selection for State FFA Chorus, "Who's Who Among American High School Scholars," degree of honor in National Forensics League, 2008-2009 defensive player of the year for varsity basketball, Union 4-H Club president, Debate and Forensics Team president, SADD president, sophomore class president and student council treasurer.

Jodie Harris, 17, is the daughter of Joyce and Stephen Harris of Sweet Springs.
She attends Sweet Springs R-7 School and is a member of Sweet Springs FFA.
She is involved in National Honor Society, FFA, FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), S-Club, FCA, student council, band, flag corps, basketball, volleyball, softball, church youth group and Kennedy 4-H.
Honors include H.E.A.R.T. Award in softball, Miss Versatile in basketball, High Honor Roll, student council vice president and Girls' State delegate.
Hobbies are going to the lake with family, playing sports and showing steers.

Hope Destiny Heaper, 15, is the daughter of Sherrie and Rodney Heaper of Sweet Springs.
She is a student at Sweet Springs R-7 High School and is a member of Kennedy 4-H Club and Sweet Springs FFA.
She is president of Kennedy 4-H, as well as past treasurer for four years and vice president for one year in Kennedy 4-H, assistant reporter for FFA, vice president for National Junior Honor Society, secretary for FFCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), secretary for STUCO. She is involved in FCA, academic team, math relay team, church youth group, church choir, helping out at the local food pantry, helping with the Saline County Holiday Project, marching band, concert band, football stats, volleyball, basketball, basketball stats and track.
In honors, she played a solo at CMU and Smith-Cotton music festivals, as well as being chosen I-70 conference band's most outstanding and most dedicated brass player. She is a FFA Greenhand Degree recipient, a first year FFA letterman, on FFA knowledge team -- third at area and seventh at districts -- and competed at State FFA Convention. She has a silver rating at area for beginning placement record book. She holds FFA proficiency awards including diversified horticulture, vegetable production and floricultural agricultural. She competed at Saline County shooting sports competition. She has received many grand champion awards at Saline County Fair. She has perfect attendance, citizenship award and outstanding academic excellence. She is a district and sectional qualifier for girls shot put. She is in the top five percentile in her class.
Hobbies are going to football and basketball games, taking pictures, singing, hanging out with friends, jogging and playing Wii with Hollie.

Mikaela Ann Henke, 14, is the daughter of Andrea and Gary Henke of Marshall.
She will attend Marshall High School in fall 2009 and is a member of Town and Country 4-H Club.
Her involvements include musicals, Miles for Meals, St. Peter School blood drives, Bellarmine speech meets, Girl Scouts, 4-H, singing and song-leading at church and gingerbread house projects.
Honors she has received are Knights of Columbus Essay Contest Winner, 2008 and 2009, with "What Qualities Do You Consider Most Important in a Friend?" and "Who Is Your Neighbor?"; excellence in reading, math and religion; Bellarmine Speech League, eight blue ribbons; National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution Citizenship Award; St. Peter Science Fair winner with a blue ribbon in physical science; and Jefferson City Diocesan Science Fair participant, with a red ribbon.
Her hobbies are swimming, sewing, photography, musicals, plays, listening to music, singing, reading, crafts and spending time with friends, family and pets.

Saria Christine Leimkuehler, 15, is the daughter of Bill and Pam Leimkuehler of Gilliam.
She is a student at Slater High School and a member of Slater FFA.
She has been involved in basketball, softball, track, S-Club, pep club, Slater FFA vice president, National Honor Society member, president of 2011 class and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Honors include Presidential Academic Excellence Award for seven years, Presidential Fitness Award, third high individual Area Meats contest, 2009 Meats Judging Contest state-ranked team, 2008-2009 Slater Barnwarming Queen, High Honor Roll, basketball, softball, cheerleading, track and FFA letterman, academically ranked no. 1 in class freshman and sophomore years, FFA Leadership award for two years, FFA Scholarship award for two years, Tri-Athlete Award, District 5 Girls Track Champions 2009.

Olivia Louise Knox, 14, daughter of Jacqulynne and Robert Knox of Gilliam.
She has attended Orearville School; she will attend Slater High School in fall 2009 and is a member of Orearville 4-H.
Activities include basketball, softball, volleyball, track, cheerleading, student council and 4-H community service projects.
In honors, she was named Outstanding 4-H Member for 2004, 2006 and 2008; High Point in the 2007 and 2008 4-H Horse Showmanship for beginners and High Point in 2007 Dog Show; and her oil paintings have gone to state competition each year.
Hobbies include basketball, oil painting, hanging out with family and friends, hunting, riding horses, softball, photography, camping, fishing and being with her pets.

She is involved in Yearbook Committee, Academic Team, Math Club, band (tenor saxophone), student council, volleyball, golf, Special Chorus, 4-H and St. Peter Youth Group.
Honors include A Honor Roll all four years at Bueker Middle School, Grace Ann Horman Academic Achievement Scholarship 2008-2009 for Top Girl GPA, Top Student GPA over four years at BMS, student council treasurer (eighth grade), student council all four years at BMS, Citizenship Award all four years at BMS, honor band in seventh grade and Bizy Beavers treasurer 2006-2008, vice president 2008-2009 and Secretary 2009-2010.

Kim Moenkhoff, 16, is the daughter of Linda and Alvin Moenkhoff of Blackburn.
She is a student at Santa Fe High School and a member of Lucky Leaf 4-H Club.
She is involved in volleyball, basketball, track, softball, Students Against Destructive Decisions and Future Business Leaders of America. She is president of Lucky Leaf 4-H Club and a 4-H camp counselor.
She is on the Counselor's Honor Roll.

Briana Rachelle Ownby, 14, is the daughter of Kevin Ownby and Diana Bergerstrom of Sweet Springs.
She is a student at Sweet Springs High School and is a member of Sweet Springs FFA.
Activities include managing high school volleyball and basketball, singing in school choir and in the choir of First Baptist Church in Sweet Springs. She also attends the Upperroom Backdoor Youth group. She is a volunteer with the Flash Program (Friends, Leadership, Snacks and Homework). She is in track, FFA, FBLA, FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) and is a basketball cheerleader for 2009-2010.
In honors, she received the State FFA Chorus pin, a letter in FFA, a letter in FCCLA and an I-70 conference patch.
Hobbies include riding and working with her horses, Jesse and Pepper. She also likes to work with animals, mainly pigs, cows, horses, cats and dogs, as well as hang out with family and friends.

Brooke Schleicher, 15, is the daughter of Wilena Schleicher and Tony Schleicher of Sweet Springs.
She attends Sweet Springs R-7 School and is a member of Liberty 4-H.
She is active in football and basketball as a cheerleader and is the softball manager. She is involved in FFA, FBLA, FCCLA (where she was the reporter), S-Club and the Yearbook staff. She also helps with many community activities, including Angel Tree Project and city and park clean-up.
She was honored to receive the Presidential Award.
Her hobbies include spending time with her family, working with her hogs, hanging out with friends and talking on the phone.

Kaleigh Elizabeth Summers, 17, is the daughter of Kim and Bud Summers of Slater.
She is a student at Marshall High School and a member of Bizy Beavers 4-H Club.
She is involved in MHS Choraliers, MHS Singers, Drama Club, Bird Cage, National Honor Society, MHS Dance Force and MHS varsity football cheerleading. Her theatrical experience includes MHS One-Act play (2 years) and MHS fall musical. She is a mentor in the MHS Freshman Mentoring Program and a member of Covenant Presbyterian Youth Group and Shapes Dance and Acro Competition team.
In honors, she is on the A Honor Roll, she is a district and state choir medalist, 2008 Saline County Fair Fashion Revue Grand Champion in knitting, she holds numerous regional and national competitive dance titles and is a nine-year member of Bizy Beavers 4-H club, with the offices of vice president (2 years), treasurer, county council representative and parliamentarian (2 years).
