2 members Slater baseball team make all-Lewis and Clark Conference

SLATER -- Two members of the Slater baseball team were awarded as all-Lewis and Clark Conference selections for the 2009 season.

Sophomore Levi Thomas (left) was a first-team pick at pitcher and senior third baseman Tyler Bishop was on the honorable mention squad.

Thomas had a 5.83 earned-run average and 1-5 record -- recording the 2-11 Wildcats' only on-the-field victory -- completed two of five starts and struck out 40 batters in 30 innings pitched. He also hit .324 and led the Purple with seven RBIs and six runs scored.

Bishop boasted a .407 average and .519 slugging percentage, tying Thomas for the team lead with 11 hits and stealing nine bases.
