Anna Homan Walker, 94, of Marshall, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Vernon Maxted and Rev. Mike Brown officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or Big Bend Retreat. Born Dec. 19, 1914, in Sedalia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Cline Homan and Mamie Lee Burford Homan. On Sept. 22, 1934, she married Elmer Louis Walker, who preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1996. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and worked at International Shoe Company for many years, retiring as an inspector. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and its Priscilla Sunday school class.
Survivors include one daughter, Anita Wright and her husband, Larry, of Marshall; one grandson, Aaron Christian Wright and his wife, Sarah, of Marshall; two great-grandchildren, Ayden Christian Wright and Addyson Ann Wright; and one nephew, R.E. Weinreich of Las Vegas, Nev.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
