Charges of leaving the scene of an accident and possession of a controlled substance were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
Hibdon initially came to the attention of local law enforcement in early March when he made multiple phone calls in which he threatened to kill a Slater woman, burn down her house and kill her children.
On Saturday, March 7, Hibdon was spotted heading east on College Street in Marshall near the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 in the late afternoon.
When deputies attempted to stop him, Hibdon drove off at a high rate of speed. Hibdon was driving erratically, deputies said, heading east on College Street and then north on Miami Avenue, narrowly avoiding a collision. Saline County Sheriff Wally George ordered deputies to end the chase for safety reasons.
About an hour after the pursuit ended, deputies received a report that Hibdon had crashed the vehicle he was driving, later identified as stolen, in a field near Highway 41 and Route NN and was inside a nearby home with an adult woman and two teenagers.
Hibdon, who has a number of outstanding arrest warrants against him from several counties, was arrested, but was taken by air ambulance to a Columbia hospital where he was treated for his injuries and then sent to Saline County Justice Facility.
