Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen to pursue drug testing policy

The Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen decided to pursue the creation of a drug and alcohol testing policy for city employees at a special meeting Thursday evening, April 30.

Aldermen hope to have a policy put together for a vote at the next council meeting, though Mayor Ray Kinney said it could take longer than that amount of time.

The board also decided not to pursue the purchase of a cell phone for the new director of public works or for the mayor.
