Ureba Sullivan, 97, of Marshall, formerly of Barstow, Calif., died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Born Jan. 10, 1912, in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Arment and Blanche Baker Arment. On June 18, 1942, she married Clement William Sullivan, who preceded her in death on April 23, 1981. She had lived in Marshall since 1987, moving from Barstow, where she and her husband owned businesses.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Lindsey Tanner; one sister, Vera Truitt of Bakersfield, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews, including Linda Rice of Hannibal.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Hazel Mathison, Olive Eales, Ruby Lampson and Iris Harsh, and one stepson, Bill Sullivan.
