Ron "Ozzie" Oswald, 71, of Windsor, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2009, at Tebo Cemetery, Leesville, with Pastor Jerry Johnson officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society in care of Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Condolences may be left at www.hadleyfuneralhome.com.
He was born Nov. 29, 1937, in Sedalia, the son of Leo Oswald and Vivion (Perrot) Oswald. He was raised by his grandmother, Leona Oswald, and an aunt, Ceola Oswald Hudson. On Aug. 15, 1996, in Clinton, he married Joann Ash, who survives of the home. He was employed by General Motors in Kansas City, retiring after 31 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife, Joann, he is survived by two stepsons, John Ash and Jim Ash, both of Windsor; two stepdaughters, Rhonda Caswell of Warsaw and Sharon Luetjen of Ionia; 22 step-grandchildren; 21 step-great-grandchildren.
