Patricia Ann "Pat" Black, 57, of rural Nelson, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to family choice. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Jan. 25, 1952, in Rolla, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Black and Rose Mesplay Black and the stepdaughter of Carl Clayton Black of Gilliam. She had lived in Saline County most of her life.
Additional survivors include her three children, David Earl Ward of rural Marshall, Melody "Melanie" Parks of Perry, Fla., and John Henry McComas of Marshall; 10 grandchildren; four brothers, Charlie "Bud" Black of Jacksonville, Ill., Carl Black, Robert Black and David Black, all of Marshall; four sisters, Sue Brownfield of Jacksonville, Jeanette Shikles of California, Rose Speaker of White Hall, Ill., and Nancy Black of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Guy Richard Black.
