Senior Chelsea Gieselman and Bock both doubled as the Lady Chiefs plated two runs in the first inning. Sophomore Molly Sander singled and scored in the second and Bock's solo shot began a four-run rally in the fifth, junior Erika Lane providing an RBI single after senior Joci Russell tripled.
Both of the Lady Cougars' runs were scored by senior Lauren Brockhaus, who had three hits. Crest Ridge (1-2) head coach Edwin Bridges may have been tempted to pull out what remains of his red hair after the Marshall native watched his team leave 11 runners on base, including packed sacks in the third and fourth innings.
Sander had three hits and Gieselman scored twice for Santa Fe (2-1), which is scheduled to play today at Wellington-Napoleon.
