Sylvia is survived by her best friend and husband of 50 years, James D. Bowles, brother Norbert Kiefer, her eight children, Jerry, Debbie, Kathi, Dave, Bob, Beth, Linda and Laura, her 12 grandchildren and her spoiled, little dog, Dewey. Sylvia was born on February 28, 1936, in Stanley, WI. She was a 1957 graduate of Avila University in Kansas City and spent her career caring for others as a Registered Nurse. But perhaps her biggest role was being a patient and loving mother and wife. She enjoyed flowers and gardening and in her later years, taking hikes in Northern AZ with her husband. Sylvia will be kindly remembered by all who knew her.
