ALMA -- Senior Taylor Wesley smashed two homers and drove in five runs Monday as the defending Class 1 state champion Santa Fe baseball team extended its winning streak to 22 games with a 21-0, five-inning non-conference victory over visiting Northwest of Hughesville.

Junior Matt "Puddin'" Lovercamp and senior Logan Kirchhoff combined on a no-hitter, Lovercamp striking out eight batters over four innings.

The Mustangs (0-2) had only one base runner during the contest, junior Zac Crooker reaching on an error in the first inning.

The Chiefs' high-powered offense, which had scored 27 runs in its first two game while hitting at a .583 clip, didn't need the help 17 walks provided it. Three of the free passes came in the first inning, junior Jacob Hollingsworth's two-out single giving Santa Fe (3-0) a 2-0 lead.

Then came the big rallies. Junior Hunter Rolf cracked a two-run shot, Wesley singled in a run and Kirchhoff's double capped a six-run second frame.

Wesley got his first tater in the third, after Lovercamp's one-out double.

Senior Ben Catlett singled and five straight walks plated three more runs.

Wesley led off the fourth with his second smash, with Catlett and freshman Dalton Wilkinson followed with singles.

Northwest issued six bases-loaded walks, senior Bobby Wood had an RBI single and junior Max Hollingsworth completed the shellacking with a two-run double.

The Chiefs' pitchers have only allowed five hits and one unearned run, while striking out 25 batters, in 15 innings over three games -- all easy wins.

Santa Fe will be at home against Thursday to entertain Crest Ridge.
