Resurfacing project to begin Monday on Highway 41

Thursday, March 26, 2009
Work to resurface 10 miles of Highway 41 from Highway 240 to Route TT in Saline County is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 30, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Chester Bross Construction will begin by removing the asphalt surface from two bridge decks located within the project to allow bridge crews to make needed repairs. Those repairs should be completed in approximately two weeks.

The resurfacing process should begin April 13 near Arrow Rock and continue west, taking about one week to complete.

Motorists should pay close attention in and around the work zone area, and choose alternate routes when possible. The work is weather dependent and could be delayed or rescheduled.

MoDOT will inform motorists of additional lane closures and other work zones as the project progresses.

For more information, contact the MoDOT District 2 Customer Service Center toll-free at 1-888-ASK MoDOT (275-6636).

The center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. or visit our website at http://www.modot.org/northcentral.
