The Lady Tigers (0-1) helped out the home team with nine errors for eight unearned runs, but the Lady Greyhounds did enough with their own bats -- especially during a six-run fifth inning which saw junior pitcher Kathleen Tyler stroke a two-run single and junior Kristin Jones and sophomore Katie Brandt drive in runs with base hits before freshman Ashley DelRosario ended the game early with a one-out RBI single.
Six Sweet Springs players had two-hit games, with freshman lead-off batter Brittany Higgins scoring four times.
Tyler yielded five hits and struck out nine to pick up the win. The Lady 'Hounds (1-0) are scheduled to host Sherwood today.
