Terrell was taken into custody Saturday afternoon, March 21, for unlawful use of a weapon, driving while intoxicated, failure to display valid license plates and no seat belt.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Missouri State Highway Patrol, Terrell was driving from Carroll County to Malta Bend with the intention of harming another person.
Terrell reportedly had a Taurus PT-92 9 mm handgun and had threatened to kill law enforcement officers if he was stopped, according to deputies.
When deputies stopped him on U.S. Highway 65 in Malta Bend, the report alleges, Terrell was "very intoxicated," with slurred speech and difficulty standing.
A blood alcohol test revealed a concentration of 0.163, more than twice the legal limit, according to the report.
Terrell is scheduled to appear before Judge James T. "Tut" Bellamy at 9 a.m. March 25.
If convicted, he faces up to four years in Missouri Department of Corrections, or up to one year in a county jail and/or up to a $5,000 fine.
