Chris Hammonds, 44, of Blackwater, died Friday, March 20, 2009, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Mark Gooden officiating. Born Dec. 19, 1964, in Boonville, he was the son of the late Harold Dale Hammonds and Frances Kay Grapes Hammonds. He had lived in the rural Blackwater area his entire life and worked at ConAgra Foods in Marshall.
Survivors include one son, Brandon Hammonds of Sedalia; four brothers, Jim Hammonds of Columbia, Eugene Hammonds of the state of Kansas, Robert Hammonds of Raytown and Curtis Hammonds of Hughesville; one sister, Linda Hoyes of rural Sweet Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
