Iliff charged with assault after Feb. 10 incident

Timothy L. Iliff, 46, of Sweet Springs, was taken into custody Wednesday, Feb. 25, in connection with an incident that took place Feb. 10 at a private residence in Sweet Springs.

He is being held on a $5,000 cash-only bond.

According to the incident report, Iliff assaulted Talmadge Ingalls, attacking him with a knife during an argument.

Iliff, who has a lengthy record for assault, assault on law enforcement officers, drug charges and burglary, has been charged with class C felony second-degree assault and the unclassified felony of armed criminal action.

If convicted of the assault charge, Iliff faces from five to 15 years in Missouri Department of Corrections. A conviction on the charge of armed criminal action is punishable by not less than three years in Missouri Department of Corrections.
