Ethel M. Russell, 92, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at her home.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Norman Miller officiating. She was born July 7, 1916, in Nelson, the daughter of Frank and Lida Hamilton Ault. On Jan. 8, 1955, she married Roy Russell, who died May 27, 1981. She was a member of East Sedalia Baptist Church, where she was a member of XYZ and the T.E.L. class. She was also a member of the Friendship Club. She retired from Lamy Manufacturing. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, gardening and doing yard work.
Survivors include one granddaughter, Christina Wilson; one great-granddaughter, Heather Grotzinger; one great-grandson, Dalton Lewis; two step-grandsons, Terry Miller and Richard Miller; one step-granddaughter, Brenda Brand; and several nieces and nephews, including Bill Barron and his wife, Shirley, of Marshall.
She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Wayne Harrison; four sisters, Mamie Barron, Essie McCormick, Louise Schatzer and Kathryn Jeffress; and four brothers, Frank Ault, Charlie Ault, Bill Ault and Bob Ault.
