Adventures in Libraryland: Long-time library staff member gets promotion

Thursday, February 12, 2009
It is with great happiness that I announce the promotion of Vickie Johnson. Vickie will be taking the administrative assistant position left open by Priscilla McReynolds' retirement.

Vickie has been with the Marshall Public Library since 1993 and is the coordinator of the homebound program. She will continue with the development of the homebound program as well as taking on new tasks.

We are so lucky to have Vickie step up to these duties.

Check it out

Family Fun Night: Valentine's Day for the Birds -- Thursday, Feb. 12, at 5:30 p.m.

It's all about the birds! You'll make a bagel feeder to take home and have one as a snack at the library.

Un-Valentine's Day for Teens -- Friday, Feb. 13, from 4 to 6 p.m.

We're having an Un-Valentine party for teens (grade six and above). Who needs ooey-gooey hearts and flowers to have a fun time? Come to the library (dressed in red and black, if desired) and get ready to put cupid in his place. There will be chocolate.
