Daniel H. Anderson, 79, of Marshall, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg. Born May 6, 1929, in Kansas City, he was the son of the late Benjamin Anderson and Minnie Lee Anderson. On July 12, 1953, he married Mary L. Sell, who preceded him in death on July 3, 2007. He had lived in Marshall since 1961 and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in France. He had worked for Missouri Public Service for 19 years and later worked for Banquet Foods and Rival Manufacturing. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Sedalia.
Survivors include four sons, Barry Anderson, Richard Anderson, Danny Anderson and Bruce Anderson, all of Marshall; one daughter, Marianne Duchone of Sedalia; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Flora Hunter of Windsor; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
