Doyle V. Riney, 74, of Marshall, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Mike Parris officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Youth Department. Born Dec. 10, 1934, in Comanche, Okla., the son of the late Vincent C. and Opal McMasters Riney. His wife of 54 years, Mary Lou White Riney, survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 2001. He served for 14 years in the U.S. Air Force and six years in the U.S. Army with one year combat in Korea and two years in Vietnam, retiring in 1972. He was wounded in action and highly decorated.
Additional survivors include one son, Keith V. Riney of Martinez, Calif.; three daughters, Beverley Thering of Lubbock, Texas, Denise G. Dunham of Marshall and Suzette Berning of El Dorado Springs; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; two sisters, Joyce Harder of Stanwood, Wash., and Pat Deeringer of Coos Bay, Ore.; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Plunk.
