Robert Lee Eddy Jr., 70, of Liberty, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at St. James Catholic Church, 309 S. Stewart, Liberty. Burial will follow in Resurrection North Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 4 p.m. with rosary at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, jan. 25, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, Interstate 35 at Highway 291, Liberty. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the church building fund.
Born July 20, 1938 in Marshall, he was the son of Robert L. and Mildred (Heilman) Eddy. He was preceded in death by his parents. His wife of 48 years, Mary (Hullebush) Eddy survives of the home.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1965. he worked for Consolidated Freightways for 32 years and was a member of the Teamsters' Local 41. Following retirement, he worked several years a a seasonal employee for the IRS. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Additional survivors include five children, Robert Eddy, Linda Houghtaling, Dan Eddy, Lori Auman and Susan Williams; a brother, Joe Eddy; and two sisters, Kay Markes and Rosemary Arth, all of Marshall; 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
