Delbert L. "Dub" Johnson, 73, of Marshall, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at Mar-Saline Manor.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery. Born June 28, 1935, in Waverly, he was the son of the late Elzie Johnson and Nellie Fihlay Johnson. On Nov. 4, 1960, he married Norma Faye Ditzfeld, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and attended Assembly of God Church. He worked at Quinn Concrete in Marshall for over 20 years, retiring in 1992.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Lori Henderson and her husband, Rick, of Marshall and Lisa Bridges and her husband, Jim, of rural Marshall; one son, Michael Johnson and his companion, Misty Ritter, of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Trisha Henderson of Reno, Nev., Jason Henderson of Marshall, Edwin Bridges and his wife. Renae, of Warrensburg, Alysia Bridges of Springfield, Andrew Bridges of Marshall and Michael Johnson Jr. of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Nelson and Albert Johnson.
