Cecil W. Marsh, 75, of Warrensburg, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg.
Cremation. Funeral service will be at Hoefer Funeral Chapel in Higginsville at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, with Rev. Glenn A. Nowack officiating. Inurnment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Missouri Veterans Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Hoefer Funeral Home, 1600 Main, Higginsville.
He was born June 14, 1933, the son of the late Albert Marsh and the late Vida (Young) Marsh. He worked as a truck driver for Mid-Am Milk, retiring in 2004. He lived in Marshall from 1967 until 1992, moving to Slater, until moving to Warrensburg in 2004. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge, and former member of the Boots 'N Saddles Square Dance Club.
He is survived by his three daughters, Mary P. Quinn of Warsaw, Margaret A. Borchers of Sedalia and Marsha L. Sites of Leeton; three sisters, Linda Stanley of North Kansas City, Ruth Baker of Higginsville and Helen Bird of Higginsville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Verna L. Alexander.
