Robert A. Pugh, 79, of rural Marshall, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at Bothwell Regional Hospital in Sedalia.

Born March 20, 1929, in Williamsport, Ind., he was the son of the late Clyde A. and Freeda Marie Pugh. On May 21, 1983, he married Virginia Gerlt Swaggert, who survives of the home. He had lived in rural Marshall the past 25 years, previously living in Warrensburg and Sedalia. He was a lineman with Co-Mo and Missouri Public Service, retiring from Aquila.
Additional survivors include his children, Helen Crapps of Sedalia, Clyde Pugh of Clinton and Robert I. Pugh of Clinton; one stepdaughter, Terrie Wooten of Louisville, Ky.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorena Harbaugh of Williamsport and Betty Wagner of Seattle, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Pugh Smith.
