Edith "Cookie" Eddy, 60, of Marshall, died Monday, Jan. 05, 2009, at Fitzgibbon Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Fitzgibbon Cancer Center or R.P. Foundation for eye research. Born Nov. 19, 1948, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Charles Eddy and Kathleen Thornton Eddy, who survives of Marshall. She had lived in Marshall her entire life and was a 1966 graduate of Mercy High School. In 1967 she married Ron Evans, who survives. She was the sales clerk for Marshall Package Liquor for many years and had worked at various businesses in Marshall. She was a member of Moose Lodge in Lexington and USO. She was a Catholic.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Lowe of Sedalia and Rhonda Lewis of Bosworth; one son, Martin Evans of Warrensburg; four grandchildren, Michael Ryan Williams, Julia Williams, Deborah Williams and Seth Evans; one great-granddaughter, Kate-Lynn O'Donnell; three sisters, Wanda Tucker of Marshall, Charla Eales of Jefferson City and Jennifer Eddy of Camdenton; two brothers, Richard Eddy of Marshall and Chris Eddy of Lexington; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one nephew, Kenneth Eales.
