Charles F. Niceley, 82, of Marshall, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow and Myron Bigler officiating. Visitation was from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Zoar Cemetery near Napton. Memorials may be made to Marshall Optimist Club. Born Dec. 14, 1926, in Los Angeles, Calif., he was the son of the late Willis Niceley and Pearl Howard Davis. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marshall. He had worked for many years at Marshall Habilitation Center, retiring in 1988. After retirement, he worked at Marshall Cinema and has been a crosswalk guard for the last several years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean conflict. He was a member of Slater American Legion Post 78 and Marshall Optimist Club.
Survivors include several cousins.
