Kenneth Eugene Bellamy, 44, of rural Marshall; Cody Wilson Roettgen, 20, of Marshall; and Michael G. Keithley, 24, of Boliver were each charged with possession with intent to distribute or produce a controlled substance, according to unofficial online court records.
Bond was set for each man at $15,000, cash-only for Bellamy and Keithley, cash or surety for Roettgen.
The three were arrested about 8:30 p.m. Monday after a Saline County sheriff's deputy received information about possible methamphetamine production occurring near the intersection of county roads 202 and 213 in rural Marshall.
The deputy and a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper on their way to investigate the report stopped a van that was clocked exceeding the posted speed limit.
The officers said they detected the odor of anhydrous ammonia, an ingredient in the production of methamphatmine, coming from an open window in the vehicle.
During a search of the road traveled by the van, the deputy reported finding a bucket that smelled of anhydrous ammonia and contained what appeared to be other ingredients commonly used in methamphetamine production.
Another deputy discovered tire tracks and footprints near several anhydrous ammonia tanks along the road the van was traveling, according to the report.
Photographs of the tracks and prints were taken as evidence and the shoes of the suspects were also seized, deputies said.

Ok people- Ive over come addiction- so it can be done!I think its how your life is growing up-wether your used to that life style- it depends on how long you choose to use also. Marshall is a bunch of addictits with no life-these people that choose to use- are adults,they know right from wrong,but choose not to do the right thing about it!Youve just got to make that choice and fight it with all that you are,stay away from the people that use,find God! Its not an easy fight for the week minded, and may not even be possible for people who climb into it deeper & deeper,but it can be done. People that have used for years need toto be in rehab,theyve lost theirselves in the process. So 1st rehab & then Jail time.

Marshallguy, Your post made alot of sense and you pointed many things that maybe I, myself, didn't take into consideration. Like I have said in other posts, addiction has played a huge role in my life. More with alcohol than anything else because when friends of mine chose drugs I chose not to be around them anymore because I have children that I never wanted to lose because of the drugs being around them, not realizing alcohol is probably just as bad as any other "drug". I have lost many friends in many different ways, either to prison or death, or their bodies are so messed up they no longer function properly. All because of drugs! I just want it to stop! But, I guess it never will.
I myself have different thoughts on what WE should do for people with addictions. I don't want to thow them away, lock them up forever, I just want whoever does this crap to keep it to themselves. Don't bring young teenagers into this. Or anyone for that matter. And for God's sake, DON'T DO IT WITH CHILDREN AROUND!
just thought that i would add that after further reveiw i realize that my spelling and grammar are awful so no need to point it out.
let me start by correcting some people on here. addiction is a diease or sickness, however you wish to sat it. this is reconized by most doctors and every major medical association in the country. as for the debate on how to treat it and the addicts themselves, there is no straight answer. i am a recovering addict and alcoholic, so i know a little about this. the problem is what worked for me might not work for others. we all have to find our own way into recovery. i can say that 12 step programs have been statisticly the best solution. i have seen many people come to find a God of thier understanding and a path to a better more useful life this way. i agree and anyone who is truely trying to gain and keep soberity should too, that we should pay our debt to society, whatever that may be. on the other hand treatment needs to be involved also. if you just lock an addict up with no treatment they are more likely to repeat the same mistakes over agian. i have nothing but compasion for the families and other victims of this terrible disease, but i also have hope for the recovery of those who are afflicted with this disease. although not all of us make it out, some die and some rot away in jail or asylums, there is a way out. maybe instead of getting out the torches and pitchforks we should think about trying to help these people return to society in a usefull manner. i do not mean to offend anyone by this post, i only hope to maybe open minds to the reality of this problem.
Gargonite, I don't think anyone thinks this is a comedy show at all. We have our opinions and we have the right to post how we feel, including you. I will continue to post under whatever topic i so choose. I have children and grandchildren to worry about and honestly wish there was some miracle to get this crap off the streets. this drug is affecting so many people that it is insane!!
Oh it's so amuzing to see the community come together in such harmony. Almost as lovely as an orchestra. The music and tones that come from each section is .......... breath taking. I've been here I've been there my lifes worse than yours and my dad can beat up yours. Do any of you really know what your talking about or is this like comedy hour at the chuckle club. None of you that comment on here say anything that makes any since. Go to sleep leave it alone post under "The flowers are so pretty this time of year" or something. We all know drugs are bad mmmkkkkaayyyy we have learned that for as long as we can remember. Will the bad ones do time probably? Will they get out and do it again? Well hope not, but probably on that to. Who knows some learn from there mistakes some don't. I like to call that our lovely and delightful yet hardcore circle of life. Oh I Love This Country.
I love it when people hold nothing back. I totally agree with you. The reason they cannot get off of this crap is because they are too stupid due to the fact that uummmmm THEY HAVE NO BRAIN CELLS LEFT!!!!!! For you Billaaay----cut your losses, let us pay for you to rot in jail because that is the only way your nasty butt will stay clean!!! You have kids for cryin out loud!!

missouriwoman, Randy Arnold has been on this crap and before that cocain! For as long as i can remember! It is not a sickness it is addiction! My biggest question is why does people like Randy Arnold bring others into it????? As long as theses druggies are making the crap they deserve a very lng prison sentence if they can't get help and stay clean!!! I am so sick of people feeling sorry for these people. And yes I know what it is like as well!! I have familly members with addictions and friends who are dying because of it. I would rather seen them in jail and safe than in the public inflicting their ADDICTIONS on everyone around them. How do you justify someone such as mr arnold making this crap in the presence of a three old child???? I know for fact!!!!!
Unless you have been on meth, than you dont know how it is!! It is a sickness and hard to beat!! I have been there and been to prison over it!! It's so hard to get off of it!! These people need HELP!! Just like Randy Arnold, he needs help, not punishment!! These are good people that just got invloved in a BAD drug!!! My thoughts and prayers are with them and their families!!!
YeeHaw, I would be willing to guess that these people are "self-employeed" selling their merchandise. Jerry George, however drives a truck which it is my understanding that he drives for himself so he has noone to do the drug testing.
I agree with you completely that there should be random testing. I also think people who receive state benefits should be tested as well.
But if the system would get tough and handout harsh sentences to those making the crap maybe there would be less of it. But instead.... a manufacturer of it gets a measly 120 shock!

I want to know why Eric Crump and the Democrat News decide to print an article about Kenny Bellamy being charged with a Class B Felony for Meth production/distribution but declines to print an article about Roger W. Bryan being charged with the same thing? On top of that Roger W. Bryan is also being charged with 3 additional felonies and is also a prior offender.
Why does the Marshall Democrat News decide to print one arrest but turn their respective head to the same charge to a different individual?

I hope they do give him a harsh sentence with the needed assistance. I hope they give the younger men strict sentences too. This man IS 44 years old - DOES have prior convictions and through this mobile meth lab... got his brother busted! Thank GOD.
Who truely knows how the yonger men became involved with meth... or... because of his past production... HOW many are now addicts??? I can only.... GUESS- and pray that they seek HELP and not a new venue for their drugs.

Thank you for just telling people how it is out there.Its a different world when your on meth..I know i have been there myself,I had to move away from Marshall and the towns around there.I thank god everyday for showing me there is a better path...Troy my hat goes off to you...
Kenny, Kenny, Kenny. I wish he would've used the DOC time wisely like I did and then moved away. If I would have stayed I can't say that I would not have been in the van with him. I thank God every day for my second chance and that I was able to escape the grasp that that lifestyle had on me. He and I were part of the small group that was there when all this crap started in 1996. He is not a bad person. He is addicted as I and everyone else was that pursued this stuff. The stuff controls you so that you become a puppet and a slave to it. I hate that for Kenny, I really thought he was smart enough to get out of it by now or at least get away from there. I know his sentence is probably going to be harsh with all his priors. Please Saline County show some mercy on him. It's a sickness than can be cured, or at least kept in check, if you learn how. I often think of Kevin Riley who got an absurd amount of time. He's another one I ran with too. This could be me. I am so lucky and I live each day grateful that I didn't get caught there. All you people who post those comments about how they got what they deserved don't have a clue what your talking about. Long term treatment is the answer, not throwing them away. And yes people do relapse. Treatment isn't a guarantee. I just hope he will be able to have some sort of life left to live after Saline County imposes some senseless sentence upon him.

I think that it is time for all of this to stop!! Stupid and careless acts can get people hurt.. If you leave footprints on the ground with snow, than you are bound to get caught!!! Duh!! I guess that is what Meth does, makes you stupid!!!!!
