"Cricket County," a play by Eddie McPherson, was a laugh-filled tale of family members at odds with one another and themselves.
The play's second half, consisting mainly of "Lo!" a play-within-a-play a recounting of the birth of Christ by Robert Graham, had the school's younger children singing songs while the players in "Cricket County" looked on and even took part.
The play ended with patriarch Eldon reminding the audience and his fellow actors to remember Jesus' message: forgive and forget.
