Orin C. "Willie" Williams, 74, of rural Marshall, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Claude Fields officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born Aug. 1, 1934, in Poplar Bluff, he was the son of the late Oren Nathaniel Williams and Eunice Elizabeth Barker Williams. On Feb. 27, 1977, he married Kathleen Fuemmeler, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and attended Marshall Baptist Temple. He worked at Banquet Foods, Marshall High School as a custodian and retired from Marshall Habilitation Center as a housekeeping supervisor. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving for 10 years.
Additional survivors include his four children, Jeff Williams of Kansas City, Karen Fitzgerald of Lenexa, Kan., Kurt Williams of Springfield and Jamie Williams of Marshall; eight grandchildren; one brother, George Williams of Marshall; one sister, Earlene Gunmore of Versailles; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy, Kimberly Williams, and one sister, Clara May Harroald.
