Newscope: County commission approves liability, building insurance

Saline County commissioners approved renewal of the county's liability and building coverage insurance with Meuschke Agency for an annual premium of $136,424.

The cost of the premium is slightly less than last year's similar coverage. Presiding Commissioner Becky Plattner said at least part of the decline in the premium is due to the commission's decision to exclude coverage for "terrorist" attacks.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the commission will be held Thursday, Dec. 4, in the commission office on the lower level of the courthouse.
