Senior Tamara Cooks buried five three-pointers for Warrensburg for a 60-36 victory over the Lady Owls. Cooks tallied 21 points, 13 during a first half which saw the Lady Tigers take a 33-22 lead.
Marshall closed within six points during the third period as sophomore Kelsey Griffin converted a conventional three-point play and senior Jessica Harriman posted up inside.
However, Warrensburg closed with an 18-8 final frame, Cooks knocking down a pair of bombs, to secure the win.
Senior Sharniece Lewis had 12 points and senior Jallisa Lewis added 10 points off the bench for the Lady Tigers (1-0).
Griffin and Harriman combined for 17 points and freshman Allie Bockstetter contributed seven points for the Lady Owls, who were plagued by 32 turnovers.

Westran 56, Slater 41
GLASGOW -- Defending Lewis and Clark Conference champion Westran may have lost one all-state player from a team which reached the Class 2 state finals for the second year in a row, but the one left behind was plenty good enough Monday against Slater.
Senior Becca Schemmer poured in 30 points to lead the Lady Hornets to a 56-41 victory in the first round of the Glasgow Tournament. She scored 13 of those points during the first period, sinking three treys to give Westran a 19-9 lead.
The Lady Wildcats whittled the deficit down to seven points over the next two quarters, senior Rachel Gonzalez making five outside jumpers, but the Lady Hornets (1-0) closed with a 14-5 run -- making six of eight free-throw attempts and getting three more buckets from Schemmer.
Gonzalez wound up with 18 points for Slater, which held a 33-25 edge on the boards -- with junior Brittany Cornine and sophomore Ana Jackson each collecting eight rebounds.
The Lady 'Cats (0-1) will take on Keytesville in Wednesday's consolation semifinal.

Glasgow 77, Slater 25
GLASGOW -- Yes, area hoops fans, Jay Lee is still around -- and still dangerous.
The Glasgow senior, a two-time all-state guard, racked up 31 points Monday as the top-seeded Yellowjackets smacked young Slater, 77-25, in the first round of the Glasgow Tournament.
The 'Jackets opened the game with a 19-4 first period and added 24 points -- senior Briar Hoffman chipping in a pair of threes -- during the second stanza to take a 26-point lead into the second half.
"We needed to slow the pace down, and we didn't," admitted Mike Arnold after his debut as the Wildcats head coach. "We have a lot of work to do."
Senior Chris Wells scored 12 points for Glasgow (1-0).
Topping Slater was junior Chris Scott's eight points, with junior Cody Skinner collecting seven boards.
The 'Cats (0-1) will meet league rival Fayette in the consolation semifinal round Wednesday.
