Catherine Kloeppel, 90, of rural Miami, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall, with Fr. Kevin Gormley officiating. Prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall, with visitation following from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born Aug. 2, 1918, in Miami, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Leland Kieffer and Jeanette Johnston Kieffer. On June 2, 1958, she married William L. "Bill" Kloeppel, who preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2002. She had lived in the Miami area most of her life and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She retired from International Shoe Company in 1968 and was also head cook at Miami School.
Survivors include five grandsons, Melvin Reynolds and his wife, Jill, of Marshall, Jeff Reynolds of Marshall, Bryan Reynolds and his wife, Melissa, of rural Miami, Ray Stoner and his wife, Sharon, of Canon City, Colo., and Andrew Stoner and his wife, Jinxia, of Farmington, N.M.; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Wayne Stoner; one daughter, Lois Stoner Andrews; one grandson, Kevin Stoner; one great-grandson, Justin Reynolds; and five brothers.
