Shirley Ann Alspaw, 72, of Marshall, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Fitzgibbon Cancer Center in Marshall. Born Aug. 5, 1936, in Knob Noster, she was the daughter of the late Charley E. Ellis and Lorena Crawford Ellis Seay. On April 18, 1962, she married James Harvey Alspaw, who preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2007. She had lived in Marshall her entire life and was a waitress for many years at The Coffee Shop and also worked at Saline County Rest Home.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Eklund and her husband, Jerry, of Topeka, Kan.; one son, Joseph Narron and his companion, Donna Garrison, of Waverly; three grandchildren, Jamie Narron and his wife, Andrea, Joey Narron and his wife, Natalie, and Corie Wilson and her husband, Nathan; nine great-grandchildren, Joseph, Paige, Joshua, Blake, Taylor, Matthew W., Matthew O., Bradley and Johnathon; two brothers, William Louis Narron and Jimmy Dale Crawford, both of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
