Jack Harrison, 66, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, formerly of Sweet Springs, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born July 24, 1942, in Omaha, Neb., he was the son of the late Albert Wesley Harrison and Maggie Jane Belt Christenson, who survives of Council Bluffs, Iowa. On May 1, 1971, he married Donna Rae McDowell. He then married Linda Kay Frankie, who preceded him in death on May 3, 1989. On Nov. 5, 1989, he married Opal Grandstaff, who survives of Sweet Springs. He had lived in Missouri Valley the past three-and-a-half years, moving from Sweet Springs, and was a recycler and a Christian. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of National Rifle Association.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by three daughters, Sandra Anderson of Carter Lake, Iowa, and Vickie Rodriguez and Jackie Lee Agapito, both of Council Bluffs; one son, Jeffery Harrison of Missouri Valley; 16 grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Morrison of Council Bluffs; two brothers, Albert Harrison Jr. and Frank Harrison, both of Council Bluffs; and nieces and nephews.
