This week, the library offers several options in that pursuit.
Just in time for holiday gift giving, the Marshall Public Library presents "Season's Readings: Local Authors, Book Readings."
There will be signed copies to purchase on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Marshall Public Library Meeting Room.
Featured authors include
--Mark Adderley: "The Hawk and the Wolf,"
--Alice Gensler: "Squiggie's Night Out,"
--Carol Raynor: "Water Carried Uphill: A Sense of Place and Past."
There will also be a special presentation of "Skip-Come-a-Lou," a reprint of a delightful 1926 children's book based in Arrow Rock.
For those who can't make it to Season's Readings, you can give the very best -- the gift of a library card.
Cards for community members who live outside the city limits are $20 per household, giving a whole year of access to books, movies, music CDs and audiobooks.
Stop by the library desk to pick up a gift card for all your friends and family.
