Ruby Roe Morrison, 70, of Marshall, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Pallbearers will be Carl Ray Black, Chris Johnson, Justin Roettgen, Cody Roettgen, Austin Roettgen and Pat Canfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy Smith, Russell Hall and Bobby Parrish. Born Dec. 28, 1937, in Cooper County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis H. Roe and Ruth Fitzgerald Roe Griffith. On July 1, 1961, she married Clarence "Bud" Roettgen who preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1969. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her seven children, Shelly Black, Leslie Roettgen, Lisa Cravens and Wendi Parrish, all of Marshall, C.L. Roettgen Jr. of Cameron and Timothy Roettgen and Jason Morrison, both of Marshall; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jessie Edde of Marshall and Alice Culpepper of Cherry Valley, Calif.; one brother, Roy Roe of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Raleigh Griffith.
