Rose Marie Brown DeWitt, 53, of Ferrelview, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Medical Lodge Post Acute Care Center in Kansas City, Kan.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Dale Bean officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born March 9, 1955, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Odis Lee Brown and Rosie Tuders Brown, who survives of Marshall. She was a 1973 graduate of Marshall High School. On March 12, 1977, she married Randy W. DeWitt, who survives of the home. She had lived in Ferrelview since June of 1980, worked for Sony Electronics for 15 years and retired in 2000 from CitiBank in Kansas City. She was a member of Christ Chapel Assembly of God Church in Platte City and a former member of First Assembly of God Church in Marshall.
In addition to her mother and husband, survivors include one son, Randall Ray DeWitt of the home; one daughter, Lorisa Dawn DeWitt of the home; one sister, Sherry Piper and her husband, Ron of Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews.
