A 22-year-old Marshall man suffered minor to moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident early Friday on Highway WW at the south edge of the Indian Foothills Golf Course, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper.

Antonyus Werhahn was taken by ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment. He was a passenger in a car driven by Etjen Nako, 18, of Marshall.

The accident occurred about 7:40 a.m. as Nako was driving westbound and left the right side of the road. He overcorrected, returned to the road, lost control and went off the north side of the road, striking a tree, according to the trooper.

Nako and another passenger, Enrico Ahlendorf, were not injured. Nako was cited for careless driving, the trooper said
