Larry D. Miller, 58, of Columbia, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at University Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at First Assembly of God Church in Columbia. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society and can be left with Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia. Online tributes may be left at www.memorialfuneralhomeandcemetery.com.
He was born March 11, 1950, in Slater, where he later graduated in 1969. He worked at Job Corps in Colorado and returned to Columbia in 1972 to work for the next six years for the city of Columbia before going to work for Missouri Department of Transportation. He went into medical retirement after 15 years of service on the MoDOT road crew. He was united in marriage on Feb. 28, 1974, in Columbia. He attended church and religion class every Sunday.
Survivors include his wife, Maureen; one daughter, LaNita McMillin of Jefferson City; three sons, Daemeon Miller and Lamar Miller, both of the state of California, and Tristan Miller of Kansas City; two sisters, Barbara Hill and Catherine Moore, both of Slater; two brothers, Norman Miller of Marshall and Raymond Hockaday of Kansas City; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
