Huston Plummer, 71, of Marshall, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Mark Gooden officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Fitzgibbon Cancer Center or Parkinson's Foundation. Born May 23, 1937, in Newton, Iowa, he was the son of the late Harold Huston Plummer and Eulah Mae Martin Plummer. On May 29, 1959, he married Sue Ford, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and was a member of Marshall Family Worship Center. He had worked in the maintenance department at Marshall Habilitation Center, retiring in 1999 after 40 years of service. He served in the Army National Guard for 13 years.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Tammy Plummer Wilson of Columbia and Patti Acton of Marshall; one son, Danny Wayne Plummer and his wife, Anna Marie, of Columbia; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, C.L. Plummer of Marshall; one sister, Marsha Wood of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a child in infancy; one son-in-law, Mark Edward Wilson; and one brother, John Plummer.
