Maria Linares, 63, of Marshall, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at University of Missouri Hospital & Clinic in Columbia.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Arrangements are in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Feb. 25, 1945, in Santiago De La Frontera, El Salvador, she was the daughter of the late Jose Linares and Teodora Roca Linares. She had lived in Marshall since 2006, moving from Los Angeles, Calif., and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall.
Survivors include two daughters, Jessica Ruiz and Dora Ortez, both of Marshall; two grandchildren; five sisters, Ana Linares, Dilia Linares and Tita Almazan, all of Marshall, Miriam Najarro of Los Angeles and Vilma Linares of El Salvador; two brothers, Teodoro Linares of Los Angeles and Jose Linares of El Salvador; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion, Sergio Chinchilla, and one brother, Orfelindo Linares.
