Raymond Berry Wilhite II, 32, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2008, in Independence.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at 2 p.m. at New Salem Church in Marshall Junction.
He was born Feb. 23, 1976, in Marshall, the son of Raymond B. Wilhite and Vickie Albert. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1994. He served in the Missouri National Guard and was honorably discharged. He enjoyed participating in sports and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a construction contractor in Kansas City.
In addition to his wife and his parents, he is survived by one brother, Robert Wilhite and his fiancée, Karen, of Sedalia; one sister, Lori Walker and her husband, Luke, of Gatlinburg, Tenn.; his maternal grandmother, Lena Wilhite; godparents Linda Houston and Wayne Miller; two nieces; three nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his infant son Raymond Laurence; maternal grandfather Marvin F. Wilhite; and paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Evelyn Miller of Sedalia.
