Paul P. Harlin, 90, of Marshall, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born April 12, 1918, in Cotton County, Okla., he was the son of the late John S. Harlin and Fannie Phillips Harlin. On Feb. 14, 1957, he married Ila Mae Cleek, who preceded him in death on Dec. 28, 1988. On March 19, 1991, he married Vivian Wilhelm, who preceded him in death on Nov. 18, 2001. He had lived in Marshall since 1965, moving from Ulman, and was a Baptist. He was a farmer for many years, then owned the Coast-to-Coast Store in Marshall and was parts manager for Whitlock Coal and Implement Company.
Survivors include three sons, Lanny Harlin, Randy Harlin and Ronald Harlin, all of Marshall; three daughters, Bernita Harlin of Columbia, Paula Anderson and Judy Adcock, both of Marshall; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Harlin of Ash Grove; two sisters, Berniece McCully of Everton and Jeniece Gaines of Wellington, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by two grandsons; one granddaughter; three brothers; and five sisters.
